A sustainable agriculture is a future where no one is left behind

07/07/2021

As a key actor in global food system transformation, FAO was invited to the UN Food Systems Summit independent dialogue ‘Leave no one behind: the transition to sustainable agriculture’, hosted by FoodUnfolded, a digital media platform funded by the European Institute of Innovation & Technology. The online dialogue offered an opportunity to discuss the standardization of sustainability and how different agricultural sectors can achieve inclusive and sustainable food systems.

FAO participated in the discussion on dairy production and highlighted the critical role of dairy development in achieving food system transformation. To support all actors in the dairy chain, FAO has set up a neutral platform, the Gateway to dairy production and products, which provides a wide range of material about milk production and products in developing countries.

FAO will continue to support countries in the transformation to more efficient, inclusive, resilient and sustainable agrifood systems and the objective of leaving no one behind.
