Coming up: FAO at the European Humanitarian Forum 2023 on 20-21 March

01/03/2023

The second edition of the European Humanitarian Forum is taking place in Brussels on 20-21 March 2023. The Forum is bringing together policymakers and international humanitarian partners to discuss humanitarian policy and strategy, from a Team Europe perspective. It is organized by the European Commission (DG ECHO) and Sweden in the framework of its Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

FAO will be present with two Humanitarian Talks to promote advocacy around important issues globally.

“Expanding anticipatory action: crises and conflict, diseases outbreaks, food insecurity“ will be held on 20 March 2023, 14:45 - 15:45 (CET). The event is co-organized with the Anticipatory Hub and will critically reflect on the opportunities, challenges and concrete entry points for expanding and scaling up anticipatory action to diverse contexts and hazards.

‘’Managing food crises differently: enhance humanitarian investments in agricultural livelihoods’’ will take place on 21 March 2023, 16:15 - 17:15 (CET) . The event will rethink on how we do humanitarian action in a way that is more impactful, tailored to the needs and priorities of crisis-hit communities, cost-effective and will ultimately pave the way to lasting resilience building, in particular focusing on the role of agriculture.

To attend these two events, please register to the European Humanitarian Forum as on-site participant here.
