Register now: World Food Day - Our actions are our future

06/10/2021

Collective action across 150 countries is what makes World Food Day one of the most celebrated days of the United Nations’ calendar. Hundreds of events and outreach activities bring together governments, businesses, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), the media, and general public.

On 16 October we will be celebrating the 76th anniversary of FAO!

We will celebrate in an environment that urgently requires that today’s agri-food systems transform and create regular access to sufficient amounts of safe, nutritious food, while managing the natural resources of our planet sustainably.

With the theme “Our Actions are our future. Better production, better nutrition, a better environment and a better life for all”, FAO spreads the word and builds awareness together with all stakeholders about the importance of a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. Efforts to mitigate climate change, environmental degradation, and promote well-being of people and planet, all depend on it.

In Brussels we will be virtually celebrating the day with an exciting line up of speakers, who will explore what the four betters mean to them and for our daily lives. See the event’s agenda here.

Because solutions exist.
