Digital launch-Turkey: The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World 2021 (SOFI 2021)

In the context of World Food Day 2021, FAO Turkey is organizing a digital event to introduce and discuss the publication The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World 2021 (SOFI 2021). One of FAO’s annual flagship reports, SOFI 2021 is the first evidence-based global assessment to reveal the state of chronic food insecurity in the world following the emergence and spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jointly prepared by FAO, IFAD, UNICEF, WFP and WHO, the report provides the most up-to-date information, comprehensive assessments and authoritative estimates of the state of hunger and food insecurity on a global scale.
The live event will present the findings of SOFI 2021 and discuss important topics such as the transformation of food systems and food system solutions with input from prominent figures in the field.
