International Conference on Conservation Agriculture: Strategies for the Promotion and Uptake in the Central and West Asia and North Africa Region

Hybrid Event, 05/07/2017 - 07/07/2017

The three-day conference brings together scientists, experts and farmers from Central and West Asia and North Africa (CWANA) to analyze the preliminary study on potentiality of conservation agriculture in Konya Closed Basin in addition to the constraints and opportunities for conservation agriculture adoption in CWANA countries. The conference aims to formulate and implement an innovative strategy to accelerate the spread of conservation agriculture systems, taking biophysical, economic, social, policy and institutional factors into account across the public, private and civil sectors in each of the three sub-regions.

The conference is organized by FAO in the framework of the “Agricultural Implications for Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EBA) to Climate Change in Steppe Ecosystems Project” co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey.
