Regional workshop: Resilient ecosystems for food security in times of multiple crises

FAO is organizing the regional workshop “Resilient ecosystems for food security in times of multiple crisis – Capitalizing on the UN Decade: from commitments to actions” which will be held virtually on 21 June from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. CEST.

Recognising the urgency for joint efforts to halt the ecosystem loss and reverse the ecosystem degradation, as we enter the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, there has never been a more important time to bring together scientists, representatives from academia and researchers, experts from the fields of rehabilitation and environmental restoration, alongside practitioners, civil society and private sector to tackle the vast environmental challenges that we face today.

To this end, the main objective of the event is to promote ecosystem restoration in Europe and Central Asia as a counteract to food insecurity, increased vulnerability to climate change and natural and manmade disasters, and facilitate partnership development and resource mobilisation for the UN Decade on Restoration initiatives.

The workshop will be held in English with simultaneous interpretation in Russian.
