World Food Day Horse Race

The World Food Day Horse Race is a traditional event in Turkey. Each year the Jockey Club of Turkey dedicates one of its races to World Food Day to raise awareness of key issues related to food and hunger. This year the race will take place on Saturday, 16 October.
World Food Day is one of the most celebrated events in the United Nations calendar. Activities are organized in more than 150 countries to accelerate efforts towards the eradication of hunger. This year’s theme – “Our actions are our future – Better production, better nutrition, a better environment and a better life” – reminds us of the importance of food and the sustainable management of natural resources.
