Coordination meeting: Strengthening the One Health approach in Tajikistan

Dushanbe (Tajikistan), Hybrid Event, 17/01/2025

The National Coordination Meeting, organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) as part of the project "Pandemic Preparedness and Response through a One Health approach in Central Asia," (17 January 2025, Dushanbe) will be an important platform to foster collaboration, improve preparedness, and ensure a unified response to health challenges across Central Asia through the One Health framework.

One Health is an integrated, unifying approach that aims to sustainably balance and optimize the health of people, animals and ecosystems. FAO promotes a One Health approach as part of agrifood system transformation and of a sustainable food future.

The meeting aims to discuss key lessons learned during the project implementation, identify opportunities to improve coordination at the national and regional levels, address challenges and explore potential solutions, strengthen inter-agency coordination mechanisms, and define next steps in the project's progress and strategic approach.
