Food waste presents a significant challenge across Europe and Central Asia, with far-reaching consequences for the environment, economy, and food security. To address this issue and drive transformative change, the Regional Youth Assembly for Europe and Central Asia has undertaken a critical role in conducting a comprehensive analysis of food waste policies in the region.
The workshop objectives include:
- Assess the state of progress and understand food waste reduction efforts in Europe and Central Asia.
- Advise on policy actions and provide evidence-based and youth-centric policy recommendations for effective food waste reduction.
- Foster regional collaboration and promote cooperation and engagement among policymakers and young advocates in shaping improved food waste policies.
