Second One Health National Forum of Kyrgyzstan

In February 2024, FAO launched the project “Enhancing the One Health approach in Kyrgyzstan and its capacity to control zoonotic diseases” under the Global Health Security Programme to support the prevention, early detection, and response to animal and public health threats, particularly zoonoses, strengthening and operationalizing the One Health approach.

The Second One Health National Forum will be the continuation of an event in April 2024 and will continue to improve collaboration and coordination mechanisms with the human and environmental health sectors (including wildlife) at national and selected provincial levels for prevention, detection, assessment, investigation, and response to priority zoonoses. The focus will be on discussing existing methodologies to improve indicators and validate methodologies and tools. 

The One Health National Forum target audience includes representatives of government agencies, research and educational institutions, resource partners, and international organizations. The event will be held in Russian and Kyrgyz languages.
