World Food Day Kyrgyzstan: Agrofest

Bujum (Kyrgyzstan), 24/09/2024

This year, World Food Day (16 October) talks about the right to ‘foods’ for a better life and a better future.  ‘Foods’ stands for diversity, nutrition, affordability, and safety. A greater diversity of nutritious foods should be available in our fields, in our markets, and on our tables, for the benefit of all.

At the “Agrofest” harvest celebration marking World Food Day 2024, farmers from Batken, Kyrgyzstan’s southern region and agricultural experts will share their experience on ways and approaches to reduce climate risks, increase women’s contribution to sustainable agriculture, improve social and economic conditions, and prevent conflicts over resources.
