Mandato:(a) Redactar disposiciones de etiquetado aplicables a todos los alimentos;
(b) examinar, enmendar si es necesario, y ratificar proyectos de disposiciones específicas de etiquetado preparados por los Comités del Codex que están encargados de redactar normas, códigos de prácticas y directrices;
(c) encaminar problemas de etiquetado específicos que le encomiende la Comisión;
(d) examinar problemas relacionados con la publicidad de los alimentos, especialmente los relativos a las declaraciones de propiedades y las descripciones engañosas.
