59. According to Rule IV.2 of the Rules of Procedure of CIFA, the sessions of the Committee shall be convened by the Director-General of FAO, who shall decide on the date and place of the sessions, in consultation with the chairman and the competent authorities of the host country, taking into account the views expressed by the Committee. The Committee proposed to hold the sixth session early in 1985, but the exact date and place will be decided by the Director-General of FAO.
60. With this understanding, delegates from Zambia and Ethiopia indicated the interest of their respective country in hosting the sixth session of CIFA, pending the final approval of their governments which will be communicated to the Director-General of FAO.
