de Trabajo sobre Recursos Pesqueros de la Comisión de Pesca Continental para América Latina
(COPESCAL) en su segunda reunión.
PREPARATION OF THIS REPORT
This is the final version of the report as approved by the second Session of the
Working Party on Fishery Resources of the Commission for Inland Fisheries of Latin America
(COPESCAL).

| El Grupo de Trabajo de la COPESCAL sobre Recursos Pesqueros se reunió en Iquitos, Perú,
del 26 al 30 Septiembre de 1983. Participaron 18 expertos de 14 países de la región.
Las discusiones técnicas se desarrollaron acerca de tres temas principales: (a) problemas
de contaminación a nivel nacional y regional, (b) desarrollo y explotación de
lagos naturales y artificiales, y (c) recursos pesqueros fluviales. Se propuso la
creación de tres Subgrupos para la promoción y coordinación a nivel regional de la
investigación y las actividades nacionales en cada uno de los temas mencionados,
acerca de los cuales se formularon recomendaciones específicas así como también acerca
problemas inherentes a la difusión de información, entrenamiento y capacitación. |
| ABSTRACT |
| The COPESCAL Working Party on Fishery Resources met in Iquitos, Peru from 26 to 30
September 1983 to discuss the progress achieved since the previous session. Eighteen
experts from 14 countries of the region participated in the Working Party. The discussions
centered on three main topics: (a) Problems of pollution at national and
regional level; (b) development and management of natural and artificial lakes; and
(c) river fishery resources. It was proposed that three sub-groups be established at
regional level for promotion and coordination of national research and activities in
each of the above-mentioned topics, on which specific recommendations were formulated,
and also on dissemination of relevant information, training and education. |
