Currently, my primary focus revolves around integrating economic systems with bio-physical and social systems, enabling me to develop effective policies and strategies for sustainable agricultural practices. I’m involved in the FAPRI-UK project which investigates the relationship between production levels, prices, policy and market shocks for the main agricultural sectors of United Kingdom in collaboration with University of Missouri.
My primary degree is in Agri-industrial engineering from the "Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët Boigny" in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast. Following that, I gained experience working with the industry to achieve Sustainable Development Goals at SGS Côte d'Ivoire. I then pursued a postgraduate qualification in Agricultural and Resource Economics at the Paris Institute of Technology for Life, Food, and Environmental Sciences, known as "AgroParisTech," and obtained a PhD from the Graduate School of Life Sciences, Health, Agronomy, and Environment at the University Clermont Auvergne in France.
For several years, I worked as a research fellow at the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food, and the Environment (INRAE), focusing on environmental impact assessment, sustainability, and productivity of agricultural systems. My expertise lies in the field of agricultural and resource economics, and I have a proven track record of utilizing numerical models, statistical analysis techniques, and data analysis tools such as R and GAMS to conduct comprehensive economic analyses and environmental assessments within the energy, food, and agricultural sectors.
Throughout my career, I have gained valuable research and development experience working with companies that prioritize innovation, agriculture, environment, sustainable development, and climate change. Additionally, I am a member of the FAO Affiliate Workforce and Non-Staff Human Resource (NSHR) consultant rosters across various profiles.
Over the course of seven years, I have acquired strong technical, scientific, and project management skills through my international experiences in Europe, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Africa.
