Aquaculture and fisheries
Mr. Nunda has been a dedicated member of the global YPARD Policy Working Group since 2021, and now serves as a leader of the group as a Co-Chair. He has lead the process of group consensus and drafting YPARD policy positions for the UN Food Systems Summit, the Committee World Food Security’s Voluntary Guidelines on Youth, World Forestry Congress, Stockholm 50+ and the UNFCCC COP27. Furthermore, he has provided a key link between our francophone and anglophone YPARD and IAAS members through the policy position forming process. Just one testament of his initiative for grassroots change is his leadership in the YPARD DRC Community Solution Project focusing on aquaculture in cooperation with IITA. Particularly convincing is his experience in various country-level projects with YPARD in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, but also work experience with the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) and the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA).
