Agroecology

Leonida Odongo is a Kenyan social scientist with a political science and sociology background. She is currently finalising a Masters Degree in International Conflict Management. Through Haki Nawiri Afrika, Leonida works with smallholder farmers promoting agroecology in Kenya. Her focus is on transforming grassroots food systems through political and technical education, infusing community dialogues on climate justice in the context of food systems.

Leonida is also a Civil Society and Indigenous Peoples Mechanism ( CSIPM) member and an agroecology advisor at Land is Life. She sits on the Board of A Growing Culture and Food Coop Kenya. She is also a freelance writer, documenting community experiences with food and climate crisis. Leonida's articles have been published on Black Agenda Report, World Pulse, Pambazuka News, and Third World Network.
