I am working on:

I am currently conducting research on the incentives driving agroecological transitions as well as the repercussions of such behavioural changes on the efficiency and environmental impacts among smallholders in the Global South.

Sulman is an agricultural and environmental economist dedicated to employing research techniques to inform sustainable policies for the agri-food sector. In 2023, he earned recognition as the Best Collaborative Masters in Agricultural and Applied Economics (CMAAE) student within the CMAAE program, involving eight major universities across East and Southern Africa. Earlier that year, he was also acknowledged as the second-best master's student in the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Nairobi.

His expertise spans production economics, econometrics, statistics, and quantitative modeling, which he applies to study various areas, including but not limited to food security, productivity, sustainability, gender disparities, climate change, and policy evaluation. Currently, Sulman serves as a Research Fellow at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) and actively participates as a member of the Econometric Society (www.econometricsociety.org).
