I hold a degree in Agronomic Engineering from the University of São Paulo, Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (1995). Subsequently, I successfully completed my Ph.D. in Food Technology at Campinas State University in 2003, featuring a comprehensive exchange program at CIRAD in Montpellier, France. My professional journey commenced as a Researcher at Embrapa in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2003-2005). In 2006, I transitioned to the position of Professor at the University of São Paulo. A pivotal point in my academic career was my role as a Visiting Researcher at the University of California, Davis, from 2018 to 2019. With a commitment to academic leadership, I assumed the role of President of the Undergraduate Committee at Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture, University of São Paulo (2019-2023). Currently, I hold the position of Director of Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture, a responsibility undertaken since 2023. My research endeavors focus on sustainable processes for deriving high-added-value products from co-products and agro-industrial residues. Key areas of investigation include: 1) Pioneering environmentally friendly processes for antioxidant recovery from residues; 2) Innovating the production of new ingredients through feasible processes for industrial adoption; 3) to study forms to enable storage and further application of newly ingredients.
