Currently serving as an Assistant Professor (tenure track) at Wageningen University, Carina is dedicated to effecting positive impact through empirical research and strategic interventions on behavioral science applied to sustainability. Her primary focus revolves around redirecting unsustainable consumption patterns towards more sustainable, healthy, equitable, and nourishing behaviors. Carina's scholarly contributions have earned recognition in esteemed journals including the Journal of Business Research, Journal of Cleaner Production, and Sustainable Consumption and Production. Her exceptional achievements were further acknowledged with the prestigious Award for Best Dissertation by the Society for Consumer Psychology in 2023.

Carina's impactful research endeavors have been showcased at renowned academic conferences such as the Society for Consumer Psychology (SCP), European Marketing Academy (EMAC), Academy of Marketing Science (AMS), and the Wageningen International Conference (WICaNeM). She brings over 10 years of extensive experience in food and nutrition security within international development cooperation, complemented by a strong background in behavioral science and sustainability promotion across Europe and South America. With a robust track record of collaboration with prestigious public grants such as Horizon 2020, NWO, and FCT, Carina has played pivotal roles in formulating, implementing, and evaluating multi-sectoral programs on a global scale.
