Wali Haider
Wali Haider is the Joint Director of Society for Roots for Equity and the secretary of Pakistan Kissan Mazdoor Tehreek (PKMT – The peasant movement of Pakistan). He is the Co-Chair of Asia Pacific Regional CSO engagement Macanism (APRCEM) a platform of more than 600 CSOs and Peoples movements all over Asia and the Pacific. He has been also partially engage the Major Groups and other Stakeholders Coordination Mechanism on the HLPF/SDGs. He was the co-facilitator for farmers’ major group and part of the Major Group Facilitating Committee (MGFC) for the past two term which ends in July 2023 at UNEP. For more than two decades experience of working on the Food, Land and Climate Justice issues. Mr. Haider has a master degree in Environmental Studies from York University, Toronto, Canada.
