As of June 01, 2024 started position of Technical Advisor for PEARL project in Cambodia. For last 14 months was leading FAO ASTA Joint Programme in Suriname.
Davronjon Okhunjonov is a seasoned expert in international development with a profound focus on agribusiness innovation and sustainable resource mobilization across various global regions including the Caribbean, West Africa, and Central Asia. Currently leading the Agrifood Systems Transformation Accelerator program with the UN FAO in Suriname, Mr. Okhunjonov has dedicated his career to enhancing agricultural productivity, sustainability, and economic growth through strategic partnerships across non-profits, private sector entities, and government agencies.
With over 18 years of professional experience, Mr. Okhunjonov brings a wealth of knowledge in program management, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building. His strategic planning and visionary leadership have been key in mobilizing resources and implementing innovative strategies to tackle the complexities of modern food systems and their vulnerabilities to global shocks and stresses.
Mr. Okhunjonov holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), among other qualifications, and is proficient in multiple languages, including English, Russian, and Tajik. His comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of food systems, coupled with a results-driven approach, makes him an asset in formulating resilient strategies for food security and nutrition.
