I grew up on a farm in the semi-arid tropics of Northern Australia and I have built a career based on my passion for agriculture. I am currently performing two leadership roles in different organisations. I am the Lead Researcher for the inaugural CGIAR Flagship Report and the Senior Advisor (Agriculture Cooperation), India for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). These roles are giving me a deep and comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities in agricultural research for development. I also have an Honorary position at the University of Queensland where I collaborate on plant physiology research and higher degree student supervision and examination.
