Re-greening and Food security

Agroforestry is known as a key opportunity to improve food security and spur climate change mitigation and adaptation

Re-Greening like On-farm trees on the other hand which is the result of farmers protecting and managing young trees that regenerated on their cultivated land.

On-farm trees can also produce fodder for livestock and wood for cooking, home construction, and for sale in local markets.

By increasing the number of on-farm trees, farmers in some countries are helping to mitigate climate change by the quantity of carbon dioxide.

However, is there a future for agriculture in many drylands around the world without an increase in the number of on-farm trees?
