I am working on:
IITC is an organization of Indigenous Peoples from North, Central, South America, the Pacific and Caribbean. Its mission is to work for sovereignty and self-determination of Indigenous Peoples and the recognition and protection of their human rights, Treaties, traditional cultures and sacred lands. In 1977 IITC became the first Indigenous organization in Consultative Status with UN Economic and Social Council and in 2011 was the first to be upgraded to General Consultative Status in recognition of tis work in a wide range of UN processes.
IITC is a member organization of the Civil Society and Indigenous Peoples Mechanism serving in the working groups of several constituencies including the working group on Nutrition and Food Systems.
