Dear Sir/Madam

The report is tacking a complex issue with full of information. I appreciate the effort to prepare the report. I have three comments.

1. In 5.3 Policy instrument and institution--, Payment for Environmental service (PES)  can be put as one sub chapter. PES is described in the report in some parts, but I think it can be one subchapter here. Vietnam can be a good case study. http://www.cifor.org/publications/pdf_files/OccPapers/OP-93.pdf

2. Page 45

Forest directly contributes to livestock production under certain conditions. In Nicaragua we found positive effects of forests with higher tree density on milk production in dual purpose cattle production system. Please see attached file.

3. 5.6.1 Intgrating food security and nuturition into forest governance

In India Uttar Pradesh Participatory Forest Management and Poverty Alleviation Project (http://www.uppfmpap.org/) has been supporting the rural poor (forest user group, more than 30,000 people) not only through allocating village forests with pillar with GPS coordinates and technical/financial assistance for plantation but also forming Self Help Group and funding threir business (mostly in agriculture sector) with strong emphasis on connecting support from other sector (so called convergence). This created many success stories (http://uppfmpap.org/uppfmpap/content/Compendium%20of%20Success%20Stories...). This can be a good case study.
