I work with other young people and involve and empower them in the negotiations to ensure a sustainable future for all. The negotiations are intergovernmental on plastic pollution.
Through Advocacy and awareness: We advocate for policies and actions that address plastic pollution through awareness campaigns, social media, and other forms of engagement.
Research and innovation: We contribute to the development of innovative solutions to address plastic pollution.
Active participation in negotiations: We actively participate in plastic pollution by attending conferences, submitting proposals, and engaging in discussions with policymakers.
Collaboration and partnerships: We collaborate with other stakeholders, including governments, NGOs, and businesses.
Ashim Batya is an Executive Director with five years of experience working alongside the administrative team of Paramount Research Triangle Consortium (RTC) Uganda. Ashim specializes in administrative and environmental management and is responsible for educating communities/stakeholders using local progressive systems and structures, including accounting, community engagement, advocacy, mass communication procedures, and organizational social, and behavior change communication. Ashim is a powerful force in the workplace and uses his positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed in achieving their desired goals. Ashim is inspired daily by his communal historical injustices and their lifestyle. In his free time, Ashim likes to hike, adventure, and play cultural dances with his peers and elders.
