We are an NGO that has been running a multi-year, individualized agroecology extension program in multiple countries in Central America for the past 25 years. Since our staff visit the farms every week or two, they develop a deep connection to the farms and families who work them. We have documented many positive impacts from our programs work with over 3,000 smallholders and would like to share our data and experience to help inform policies around agriculture, nutrition, poverty, forestry, climate, biodiversity and more. The obstacles we find are having limited staff capacity to find and utilize the systems for sharing such information with policy-makers, as well as the silos that seem to decrease interest in multi-faceted programs such as ours that have multiple impacts.
I hope that's helpful.
