Research Interests: Food Authenticity & Quality Control, Food Fraud Detection Approaches, Analyzing Food Hazards and Metal Detection, Assessing Consumers' Perception & Trust, New Food Product Development (NPD) & Functional Food, Food Security and Sustainability, Human Nutrition and Public Health.

Personal Profile & Objectives:

Currently I am a lecturer on Food Authenticity & Quality Control. I am extremely interested in getting involve into your institution/ organisation to make use the knowledge I got from the UK universities/ institutions as well as in Kurdistan Region- Iraq to improve and develop this field and for my career skills now and in the future through the facilities available at your institution/ organisation.

I have special interests to work with your institution/ organisation on the aspect of teaching, doing researches, consulting advices, training courses, and building cooperation with global institutions. 

I am hard-working, enthusiastic, highly adaptive and have strong analytical, laboratory, organizational and interpersonal skills that make me capable of successfully completing any project. I am looking forward for considering my application and work together in a better future.

2012-2017   PhD in Food Authenticity and Quality Control, University of Plymouth, UK

                    Thesis’s title: Authenticity and Quality of Muscle Foods: Assessing 

                    Consumer Trust and Fraud Detection Approaches.                    

2009-2010   M.Sc. in Food Safety and Quality Management, University of Greenwich, London, UK. 

                    Dissertation’s title: Consumer perceptions of chicken meat raised by

                    different farming systems in the UK.                  

2008-2009  PGDip in Food Production Management, Nottingham University, UK.

2018- 2019        Visiting lecturer at Technical College-Akre, Duhok Polytechnique University. 

2016- 2018        Worked as interpreter for Kurdish & Arabic with Language Empire Ltd, UK.

2011- 2018        Full timeAssistant lecturer at University of Salahaddin- Erbil/ Kurdistan- Iraq.

2011-2015         Established and worked as coordinator for the ISAS Office in Erbil which 

                          represents several UK Universities and English institutions for helping 

                          students to get offers for English courses, M.Sc. and PhD degrees.

2005- 2008        Full time Lab Assistant at College of Agriculture, University of Salahaddin-Erbil.                  

International cooperation & Academic partnerships:

  1. Visited several Polish Universities with an official delegation on May 2023 to build cooperation. 
  2. Supervised an official delegation with 10 students from Nutrition Dept. of Cihan University- Erbil to Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) in Poland from 29 Nov. to 10 Dec. 2019.
  3. Working with SGGW University to make strong relationship toward dual degree with Nutrition Dept. Also working on Erasmus Plus with SGGW University and other international organisation.
  4. I am working with the IIE (Scholar Rescue Fund Alliance) as US Institution for International Education, for brining scholars escaping from Wars from different unstable countries such as Yemen and Sudan
  5. I conducted many international conferences, workshops, on Nutrition and Food Science. The most recognised workshop was on the occasion of “WORLD FOOD DAY” (WFD) on 16 October every year from 2019, to 2023. We were able to add Cihan University and Kurdistan Region-Iraq into the map of those 150 countries that celebrate the WFD BY FAO on their website. 
  6. I Established and worked as coordinator for the ISAS Office in Erbil represented several UK Universities helped students get offers for English, M.Sc. and PhD degrees from 2011 to 2016.
