I am working on:

On projects and programmes aimed at improving resilience and livelihoods of farmers through the use of livestock

I am an early-career scientific researcher with demonstrative experience in implementing the projects designed to identify appropriate management techniques for agricultural systems, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and socioeconomic approaches among smallholder farmers in climate constrained and low-income countries. Previously, I have successfully applied livestock monitoring skills to investigate how small ruminants breeds can be selected for economic and adaption traits in Climate Smart Villages of Nyando in Kenya (https://ccafs.cgiar.org/resources/publications/economic-performance-sma…). Currently, I employ climate change adaptation and resilience, monitoring and evaluation, information dissemination, auditing of data management protocols for data on animal production systems skills augmented livestock productivity lens to elucidate the role of livestock in improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in Kenya. These respective lines of research can provide evidence-based insights to inform decision-making towards prioritizing and addressing these particular areas of livestock productivity, adaptability and economic viability concerns.

I have experience in; drafting research concepts for grants, project design, data collection, statistical analysis and discovering insights amidst results. I thrive in a collaborative environment while also being successful in independent projects.
