Marilique is from the Netherlands and has joined FAO as an Associate Professional Officer (APO) in February 2023. Before joining FAO, she has worked on issues related to food systems transformation and climate change at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rome and Cairo, for a think-and-do-tank, and as a consultant with FAO. She has a background in International Politics and International Law and is passionate about systems transformation and analysing underlying power structures. As APO, she will work on the transformation to a sustainable and circular bioeconomy.
