As the team leader, my organization is currently working on two projects; 1. Advancing Women Leadership , Empowerment, and Resilience in Uganda's Refugees Response Phase II. The LEAP II project, which is being implemented by a consortium of partners including UN Women, Oxfam Uganda, and Uganda Refugee Disaster Management Committee, and SEE Impact, focuses on addressing land degradation and promoting resilient livelihoods through activities such as tree planting, establishment of woodlots, and distribution of tree seedlings among others. The project locations, including Kyaka II, Bidi Bidi, and Omugo, are geographically dispersed and face unique challenges due to their remote nature and the varying needs of the communities. 2. Accelerating and Scaling Climate Smart Jobs within Restore Africa - Market Linkages for Livelihoods and Land Restoration (M4LLR). With funding support from FCDO, through Swiss Contact, Palladium, and Catholic Relief Services (CRS)SEE Impact is being supported by Palladium in Uganda to implement the Agroforestry/Cashew Value chain project in Northern Uganda. The target is 1000 smallholder farmers as a pilot, after a successful one year, the project will be scaled up to four years to reach 10,000 smallholder farmers across Acholi sub-regions.
