FAO/GTP Dialogue on Agriculture, Trade and Sustainability

FAO in Geneva, in collaboration with the Geneva Trade Platform, launched the first of a series of events themed around the role of the multilateral trading system in supporting innovative approaches to strengthening agricultural sustainability on 26 September 2022. During this first event on Advancing Sustainability in Agriculture - Multilateral Options at the Geneva Graduate Institute.

This first session focused on discussing how the multilateral trading system generally and the WTO specifically could go about constructively contributing to more sustainable agriculture without disrupting the existing negotiations in areas like agricultural domestic support, public stockholding for food security or in relation the Ministerial Declaration on Emergency Response to Food Insecurity.
