Master's students from the United Arab Emirates visit FAO in Geneva

23/09/2022

Engaging youth to secure the sustainable future of food and empowering them is critical, as they play a key role in the efforts to transform our agrifood systems. FAO in Geneva regularly receives groups of students from different part of the world for visits to learn more about the work of FAO, the International Geneva, and the importance of multilateralism.

On 23 September, FAO Senior Programme Officer, Patrick Jacqueson received a group of Public Policy and Global Governance Master’s students from the Royal Highness Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government of the United Arab Emirates. He presented FAO's work and impact in various areas, including Food Security and the 2030 Agenda. A lively exchange with students covered a range of issues from agrifood systems transformation, to the current food security situation, nutrition, science and innovation, and fighting food loss and waste, to name a few.
