EU Funded UN Joint STREIT PNG Programme Steering Committee Meeting, May 2022

Attended by high-level officials and senior officers, the EU Funded UN Joint STREIT PNG Programme held the 3rd Programme Steering Committee Meeting in Vanimo, Sandaun Province, to review the progress made and discuss the way forward. The meeting brought together all involved parties, stakeholders, and partners, including the European Union Delegation to Papua New Guinea, headed by H.E. Ambassador Jernej Videtič; the National and Provincial level counterparts, led by Mr Roger Kara, Deputy Secretary of the Department of National Planning and Monitoring; the UN Family System in PNG, chaired by the UN Resident Coordinator a.i., Mr Dirk Wagener; and FAO as the leading implementing agency, supervised by Mr Takayuki Hagiwara, the FAO Asia-Pacific Regional Programme Leader. This high-level event was moderated by Dr Xuebing Sun, the EU-STREIT PNG programme Coordinator, as the Secretary of the PSC Meeting.
