United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Ms. Sigrid Kaag visits projects promoting socio-economic development of Southern Lebanon

United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Ms. Sigrid Kaag visited today a range of social economic programmes in southern Lebanon.

In Marjayoun, the Special Coordinator visited water management and irrigation projects and resilience projects supported by FAO.

"Stability and security are built on sound socio-economic foundations and respect for human rights. The United Nations partnership with Lebanon aims to promote stabilization and sustainable development," said the Special Coordinator upon the completion of her visit.
