26 August 2016, Rome - Experts from around the world will convene in Stockholm, Sweden from August 28th to Sept 2nd for the 2016 World Water Week. This year’s theme is "Water for Sustainable Growth". Among the top issues to be discussed are those concerning the role of water in global food security. According to the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization, agriculture - involving crops, livestock, fisheries, aquaculture and forestry - is both a cause and a casualty of water scarcity.

To elaborate a bit more on those issues is Eduardo Mansur, Director of FAO’s Land and Water Division in Rome. (Interview conducted by Sandra Ferrari)
