Multi-stakeholder Dialogue on Biodiversity Mainstreaming across Agricultural Sectors

29 May 2018--- Today the planet’s biodiversity – genetic diversity at the level of organisms; diversity at the species level; and diversity ecosystem level – faces a number of grave threats. The way we are producing our food is a big part of the problem. Unsustainable agriculture practices are taking an incalculable toll on biodiversity and ecosystems, and the multiple life-giving benefits they provide us.

A three-day dialogue of experts, governments, and policymakers examines how agriculture – including cropping, livestock rearing, forestry, and fishing and fish farming – can do a better job protecting the biodiversity of species and ecosystems on which human life depends.
