Radio still remains a powerful communication tool that reaches the widest audience worldwide and is specifically suited to reach remote communities and vulnerable people. It has a strong and specific role in emergency communication and disaster relief. This year’s theme for World Radio Day is “Radio in times of Emergency and Disaster”.
