FAO’s call to control and contain human diseases of animal origin

Talking about threats of animal to human health, Juan Lubroth, FAO Chief Veterinary Officer, explains that “The ideal is to prevent”, but in case of an outbreak, we need to have tools, be it diagnostics for detection, treatments or vaccines, and perhaps most importantly, the political will and the resources to eliminate and eradicate.
