The partnership between FAO and ISHS promotes the application of horticultural science through exchanges of knowledge, expertise, and experience contributing to food safety, food and nutrition security and sustainable food production systems. Sustainable horticulture-based food systems foster inclusive growth and can strengthen livelihoods, particularly of poor and vulnerable family farmers, input suppliers and post-harvest service providers.

The partnership between FAO and Lomonosov University aims to strengthen innovative agricultural knowledge systems, such as the Eurasian Soil Partnership Portal; and promote knowledge exchange and outreach by raising awareness of FAO’s key themes, initiatives and capacity development.

The case study on the collaboration between FAO and the Embrapa aims to highlight the results achieved within the framework of the Brazil-FAO International Cooperation Program with a particular focus on Embrapa's technical support during the implementation of the +Cotton Project in five countries in the Latin American and Caribbean region.

The case study on the collaboration between FAO and the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid will emphasize on collaborations to develop capacities and raise awareness on topics related to Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries and Forest. Further key results focus on the generation and dissemination of knowledge products as well as the assessment and systematization of good practices on food security, nutrition governance, rural economics and climate smart agriculture.

The case study on the collaboration between FAO and the Centro Agronomico Tropical de Investigacion y Ensenanza (CATIE) aims to highlight the results achieved through the collaboration established in 2014. The case study emphasize on strengthening the capacities of Latin American practitioners, and the production and dissemination of communication materials in fields such as integrated management of agriculture, forest, and natural resources, including the implementation of voluntary guidelines.

The scale-up note highlights the results achieved through the collaboration established in 2015 between FAO and the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), Consiglio per la ricerca in agricoltura e l’analisi dell’economia agraria (CREA), and Agenzia nazionale per la nuove tecnologie, l’energia e lo sviluppo economico e sostenibile (ENEA). In 2018, the Istituto Superiore per la Protezione e Ricerca Ambientale (ISPRA) joined the partnership.
