Rome – The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) will co-lead the implementation of 21 new projects as part of the second round of funding from The Pandemic Fund. In the framework of the 2024 World Food Forum, the FAO Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean signed a Letter of Intent with the Association of Universities of the Montevideo Group (AUGM) and a Memorandum of Understanding with the Union of Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean (UDUALC).

FAO has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the IMO International Maritime Law Institute (IMLI). The agreement focuses on capacity building regarding law of the sea and ocean affairs, including fisheries law and policy for sustainable utilization, conservation and management of living marine resources.
