Expanded partnership to tackle climate change and develop digital innovations for rural smallholders

On the 19th of July 2017, the Italian Chamber of Deputies launched the FAO Parliamentary Alliance for Food Security; the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) welcomes this initiative in the presence of Italian Parliamentarians, representatives of the World Food Programme (WFP), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and civil society organizations.

La FAO y el Foro regional de universidades para el fortalecimiento de las capacidades en agricultura (RUFORUM) han lanzando un centro de aprendizaje a distancia para facilitar el accesso a los recursos de la FAO a los estudiantes e investigadores de universidades africanas. A través de este centro, los estudiantes de 66 universidades miembros del RUFORUM situados en 26 países africanos pueden acceder a los recursos de información de la FAO en materia de seguridad alimentaria, nutrición, desarrollo social y económico y la gestión sostenible de los recursos naturales.
