22 June 2021 – The second partners’ consultation meeting of a Triangular Cooperation initiative involving the Belgian University of Liège, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) took place virtually on 21 and 22 June 2021.  The first day began with a keynote address by speakers from the three organizations, as well as interventions from representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China (MARA), the Belgian Development Agency, Enabel, and the Wallonie-Bruxelles International (WBI). FAO celebrates the success of a virtual South-South cooperation capacity building initiative
Harare, 18 June 2021 – Veterinary officials from 15 countries in sub-Saharan Africa successfully completed the FAO online course on sharing knowledge and experiences regarding the development of national atlases for tsetse and African animal trypanosomosis (AAT).

La Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura (FAO) acoge con agrado una contribución de 22,4 millones de CAD (17,7 millones de USD) del Canadá para impulsar la seguridad alimentaria y los medios de vida de las comunidades vulnerables -en especial de las mujeres, los jóvenes y los pueblos indígenas- resentidas por los efectos de la enfermedad por coronavirus (COVID‑19) en nueve países de África y América Latina.
