The Government of the Sultanate of Oman will host the Fifth Session of the Governing Body of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture in Muscat from 24 to 28 September 2013 at the premises of the Al Bustan Palace Hotel. The meeting will be preceded by two days of regional consultations on Sunday 22 and Monday 23 September. 

While the formal invitation will be dispatched by FAO, during the forthcoming weeks the Secretariat of the International Treaty will start making available on its website useful information for participants, including information on the support to delegates from developing country Contracting Parties, registration, credentials, visas, hotels offering discounted rates, as well as information on the participation of observers and on how to request a side event.
