I have the honour to draw your attention to Resolution 8/2023, Compliance, by which the Governing Body decided to extend the deadline for the second reporting cycle to 1 October 2024 and urged those Contracting Parties that had not yet submitted their reports to submit them by this deadline.

The Governing Body noted that the national reports are an important self-assessment tool to measure progress in implementation of the International Treaty and emphasized the value of the information provided so far to make informed decisions.
