The 6th Arab Water Week (AWW) took place in Amman, Jordan, during the week of 5-7 March 2023, under the title “Towards Agile and Smart Water Utilities”. During the three days, parallel sessions were organized covering a broad technical and policy-oriented program. Water supply and wastewater vendors and other service providers in the water sector had the chance to participate in an exhibition during the event.

During the week, the Regional Initiative on Water Scarcity organized a knowledge session titled "Addressing Water Scarcity Challenges from Multiple Perspectives in the Arab Region. The session was held on Monday, March 6, 2023, to discuss water scarcity in the region as a multi-dimensional challenge and to investigate different ways to respond to the various threats with a coordinated and multi-sectoral response.

The session witnessed the presence of various speakers from SIDA, UNICEF, the University of Jordan, and the Tunisian Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries.

Participation in AWW was an opportunity to network with partners and explore the possibility of collaboration on different topics. Furthermore, the discussions and outcomes of the session will inform the report of the 6th Arab Water Week.
