FAO Features a Talk Show on Open Data to Support SDG6, towards UN Water Conference 2023!

FAO will be participating in a Talkshow on ‘’Open Data to Support SDG6, towards UN Water Conference 2023’’ at the World Water Week on Thursday the 1st of September, 2022.

The Talk show will bring the experience of key actors at the global and national levels in the field of water, agriculture, and international cooperation. During the event, FAO will be discussing the role of open data such as AQUASTAT and the WaPOR remote sensing database on water productivity in agriculture to support countries in monitoring SDG 6.4 and acceleration towards targets.

The show will also include practical examples of available tools and resources, as well as challenges of country-level implementation and will feature speakers from:

  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Netherlands
  • Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations
  • Water Research Institute of Mozambique
