The second module of the Water Governance Dialogue Series will start on 18 January 2023 titled “Key Water Governance Priorities and Insights for the Future”. Module 2 aims at opening the scope of water governance to other regions and networks to understand some of the dynamics at the global level and reflect on the way forward to strengthen water governance for people, the planet, and prosperity.

Module 2 will take a broader global perspective, with examples of water governance analyses from Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean, widening the scope of water governance analysis and looking at alternative approaches and experiences.

The speakers invited in Module 2 will provide insight on how to better promote the widespread application of governance analysis to achieve Water Security. It will involve experts from the NEWAVE Network (EU-funded initiative) and water tenure experts engaged in the FAO Knowing Water Better (KnoWat) project and the interRegional Technical Platform on Water Scarcity (iRTP– WS).

It is interesting to mention that the FAO Water Dialogue Webinar Series started last year in November with a module on ‘Water Governance Analysis for Transformational Change’ that was organized from 7 November to 21 December 2002. The Module was organized under the WEPS-NENA project funded by SIDA. It included a general introduction to FAO Water Governance Analysis Methodological Framework and how it was applied in Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, and Tunisia.
