EPIDEMIOLOGICAL SITUATION FIRST/LAST OUTBREAK: In the last 3 years there have been 31 cases of PPR diseases recorded nationwide.

CONTROL ACTIVITIES: Vaccination is implemented by the Livestock and Veterinary Services Division targeting the whole country. In 2013 number of small ruminants vaccinated were 241.691, in 2014 99.930 and in 2015 were 41.202.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Livestock system is free range with animal released in the morning and kept indoor during the night, when in urban areas stall-feeding is the solution. Animal move along the designated trade routes and this requires movement permits and en-route inspection.
